The official coin effigy of King Charles III has been unveiled by the Royal Mint. People will start to see the King's image in their change from around December, as 50p coins depicting Charles gradually enter circulation to meet demand.
The Mint also unveiled a special £5 memorial coin to Queen Elizabeth II, which shows the late monarch as a young and older woman during her reign.
Fifty pence pieces with the King’s image will start entering circulation in the next few months, while a special £5 crown coin will also be available.
